Explore our Different Studio Offerings

At The Writers’ Studio, we offer a variety of studio formats designed for elementary and middle school writers of all kinds. Our studios support writers who naturally find joy and creativity on the page, as well as those who may find writing more laborious but love to tell rich stories or need extra support with academic writing skills. Whether a child is eager to write or still discovering their confidence, we create spaces where every writer can grow, feel supported, and find their voice.

Mini Writers’ Studio Retreats

  • One-off Writing Retreat

  • Meets for 3 hours

  • We meet at a private home in Sausalito that has designated writing nooks.

  • Space for up to 10 writers

Signature Studio

  • A month long Studio.

  • Meets once a week.

  • We meet in the loft at Books Inc. Laurel Village

  • Ends with a Publishing Party where families are invited to hear excerpts.

  • Space for up to 8 writers

  • Work one-on-one with Tristen to:

    • Craft sequential and descriptive stories

    • Receive academic support in Humanities: Reading, Writing, and/or Social Studies

    • Support with high school applications

Our Curated Writers’ Studios are thoughtfully designed to fit your needs. You choose the group size, session length, number of sessions, and format—whether we meet on Zoom or in person. Each studio is tailored to the writers involved, allowing for flexible scheduling, personalized instruction, and a learning experience that grows with your goals.
